Photos: Praying Mantis at the Train Station

I've never seen a Praying Mantis outside of photos, so this lil guy just made my day. Seems like he was also waiting for the train. :)

Here are a couple images from my second photoshoot with Jessi. She's such an incredible joy to shoot with, mainly because she's very open to my crazy ideas, poses, and pushes it to the next level. The location for the bottom photo was at a construction site--the passing cars in the background added a very urban feel to the photo. The corset, choker, and blue stockings were from my closet. More to come!

Here's a photo with my model, Brian, taken with available light underneath a bus shelter in San Francisco. The roof was made of a red translucent plastic, which created a nice effect on his features and white hooded top.

I know it's not the most appetizing photo, but the color scheme in this shot is very engaging--blue, silver, and green with hints of red. Great inspiration for a Halloween art piece. . .

Simple pen/ink illustration with slight color tints. I wanted to keep the color palette very subtle, as the subject is very melancholy.
