As Christmas is coming, why not shop for good? The Rwanda Path to Peace Collection is available at Macy's and several other small community centers.
After the 1994 genocide, Rwandan women found themselves with the task of rebuilding their lives and their country, as nearly 1 million of their countrymen were killed. The baskets offer nearly 4,000 female artisans the chance to attain a sustainable income through the project. The baskets run from $25 to $80. In its fifth year, the project is still growing.
